From anxiety disorders to attention deficit disorders, millions of Americans live with mental health issues every day. Synchronous Help was founded with the intent of addressing the mental health needs of our clients in a compassionate and personalized way. We provide a safe and private environment that has been created to help patients focus on their treatment and recovery.

Initial assessment

The initial assessment is a crucial step towards getting mental health help. During this process, we will get to know you, your concerns, and your treatment goals. Expect an in-depth look at your physical and mental health history, current medications, and past treatment. This is all done sensitively and professionally, and rest assured that you don’t have to answer any questions you don’t feel comfortable with. You will also have an opportunity to ask any questions – we welcome questions about your treatment throughout the entire process.

The next step will be developing a personalized treatment plan that addresses the whole person, from physical health and wellness to psychotherapy referrals, medication management, and more.

Our staff

Our founders and the larger team have all been carefully vetted and chosen based on their professional skills, bedside manner, and commitment to mental health. They are experienced in dealing with depressive and anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and traumatic brain Injuries in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Some of our staff also have a special interest in the needs of the LGBT+ community.

Our locations

We have two in-person locations in Portland, Oregon and St. Petersburg, Florida. We also provide virtual mental health services in Oregon, Washington, Florida, Texas, and Arizona. Online mental health services allow you to connect with a licensed mental health professional using any device that has an internet connection, such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone. This convenient way of accessing the help you need is backed up by research that shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for various mental health conditions.

If you live in a remote area, have physical limitations that make it difficult to travel, or simply feel more comfortable receiving treatment in your home, online mental health services can be a lifeline. Synchronous Health makes it easy to access treatment when, and where you need confidentially and securely.

Personalized care plans

Every body and every mind is different. That’s why we create a personalized treatment plan that includes medication and/or therapy to address your needs. We focus on your individual needs because not everyone requires the same type of treatment for their mental health needs. Finding the right fit for you is essential for your well-being and Synchronous Health can help you get there.

We can help you find the right combination of medications and dosage based on your type of mental illness and individual needs.

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy or MBCT is designed to help people suffering from repeated bouts of depression. It combines cognitive therapy with meditative practices and cultivates a present-oriented, non-judgmental attitude called "mindfulness." If you suffer from depression and anxiety, food and eating issues, low mood and negative thoughts, or another mental health issue, MBCT may be right for you.

With help from our trained professionals, we can use MBCT to address several issues.
